Who We Are!

We at Blue Pillar Company are group of professionals with high quality training in accounting, taxation, financial management and economics. Beyond the regular higher level educational training, we have over 25 years of working experience in private and public sectors.

Here is a highlight of some of BPCO team:

Getachew Bekele is the founder and executive director of Blue Pillar Company. Before he established BPCO he was working with Defense Contractors Auditing Agency, a Department of Defense (DOD) agency, as an Auditor. Getachew was also working in banking field at Chevy Chase Bank, and in transport and facility management as operations manager, and worked as an Accountant at various United States government contractors companies. While he was in Germany, he worked with various German and foreign companies as consultant in the areas of enterprise trade development as well as business organization and development. He was also a research assistant in the area of market structure and competitions analysis at Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB).

Getachew is an accomplished person in the higher education areas. Throughout of his academic tenure he graduated with honor in his field of studies. He has two Masters Degrees, a Bachelor of Arts degree and several certifications. In USA with emphasis on accounting, taxations and controllership, he studied at Strayer University and graduated with a Master of Science degree in Accounting. He was awarded the first higher degree from German university, a Master degree in economics from the then Berlin HFOE College, which currently called Berlin Technical and Economics University. Before he went to Germany for his higher education he studied at Addis Ababa University for his undergraduate completed his studies in the degree of Bachelor of Arts. Moreover, he holds Certification in International Finance and Management from Academy of International Management, Munich, and certification in Computer and System development from Indisoft Institute in Berlin. He also has a Microsoft Certification in Microsoft products.

These wide range of experiences, skills set and multifaceted training has provided him ability to lead such professional company as BPCO. It enabled him to provide quality services and strategic business consulting for small and medium size business owners. His area of interest are US taxation system, financial management, enterprise organization, strategic business management in information age.

Yilkal Workneh is a Senior Accountant. He joined Blue Pillar Company in April 2014. Before he joined BPCO he worked in the Airlines industry for 25 years his areas of expertise includes , among other things, procurement of aircraft spare parts and supplies, budget analysis, strategic and operational resource planning and management, corporate management policy design and development. Yilkal has a Master of Business Administration degree from Open University (United Kingdom), a bachelor degree in management science as well as a diploma in Bookkeeping from Pen Foster. He holds a certificate in Database administration and data mining.

Getaneh Anteneh is Accountant with over 20 years of experience in accounting and financial management area. He joined Blue Pillar Company in 2013. His specialty is general ledger account analysis, financial statement report and controllership.

Mesfin Abbabu has a bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. He has over 15 years of experience in Accounts Payable and auditing. Currently he is working with BPCO as a part-time Accountant.
